- Example:

- a data backup procedure details how and when data should be backed up to prevent data loss
Change Management
- Systematic approach to handling organizational changes
- From implementing a new software system to restructuring the organization.
- It aims to implement changes smoothly and successfully with minimal disruption to operations
- Key Stages
- Identifying the need for change
- Assessing impacts
- Developing a plan
- Detailing how the change will be implemented, who will be involved, and what resources will be required.
- Implementation
- Often in stages to allow for any issues to be addressed promptly
- Post-change review
- Assess the success of the change and identify and lessons learned
