6-in-4 Tunnel (Static Tunnels)
- As soon as you hand IP addresses everything flows so you have to set up ACLs to set up what can come up.
- A static tunnel is logical, we create it via software but it gets an entry in the routing table.
- Encapsulates your traffic into IPv4, when it gets to the IPv6, it peels the header off looks at the IPv6 destination and send it to the target.
- IPv6 traffic is being carried by an IPv4 envelope
- Your Maximum Transmission Unit (MTU) just decreased!
- IPv6 doesn't support fragmentation
- Non-tunneling is more efficient than tunneling, but sometimes is the most viable option.

Teredo Tunnel
- Established automatically
- Reach IPv6 if only IPv4 is available
- UDP port is dedicated for tunneling
- IPv6 address is assigned to host
- Windows Vista+ will try to use it
- Poor performance
